Awaken Dream is a series of works by the artist, born from detached states in everyday life and a heightened perception of the present—of mood, light, and the morphology of objects.

The paintings capture many impressions of light, imbuing the work with a sense of both sanctity and absurdity. Through the natural filtering and elevation of body, mind, and brain, and then through the effortless flow of memory, the work expresses an idea:

Reality is the lucid dream, and memory is the eternity of the moment.

Elements from certain easel paintings are extracted and reinterpreted as multi‑layered acrylic light panels. Due to the material qualities of acrylic and light, the works establish a unique conversation with space. Lines and colors become more intimately connected to their surroundings, granting the paintings a new way of interacting with both space and the viewer.
